Eligibility Requirements for Rowan M.S. in Data Science

  • A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required (on a 4.0 scale)
  • It is strongly advised to provide official GRE exam results.
  • Btech degree (or its equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognised higher education institution

Rowan M.S. in Data Science Program Description

Rowan University's Master of Science in Computer Science degree needs 30 semester hours (s.h.). There are thesis and non-thesis tracks available. The Master's Degree requires the completion of ten unique courses. Any course taken that falls into more than one category cannot be counted twice. Subject to advisor clearance, up to two courses from other, suitable graduate programmes may be taken if all prerequisites for this MS degree are met.


Students in the thesis track can select between a 6-credit thesis series and a 9-credit thesis sequence. Their remaining 9 or 6 credits might be core courses and/or electives.
Non-Thesis Track: Non-thesis students must complete 18 additional credits of elective or core courses.
