It’s good that you are looking for it right away. You can practice on this as long as you want, no need to start just a week before your interview. Because even if you don’t get admitted into the first attempt, there are always other ones. So it will only help. Okay, coming back to the interview question, you have to know that these are not anything extremely technical or any tough.
Students that apply for a university abroad always think that this university is big so they are gonna ask some heavy questions in their interview. But think about it. Why would the university ask you complex questions about the subject that you are applying to learn? It makes no sense. You only have to have a basic idea of data science when you go for your interview.
Look over these questions to understand them better. These are the most common interview questions for data science programs:
What do you understand about Data Science?
Differentiate Data Science and Data Analytics?
What is linear regression?
What is logistic regression?
How do you make a decision tree?
How big is Machine Learning in Data Science?
When and why is sampling used in Data Science?
Are you familiar with Python and SQL programming?
Differentiate between supervised and unsupervised learning in Data Science?
Explain univariate, bivariate and multivariate and the difference between them?
Topics like analytics regression, and machine learning are some popular names in data science. These are like basic things you hear when you start learning data science. If you are about to appear for a data science interview, I would suggest going through the topics listed in the questions. Because the interview committee will surely ask about these things. They do that to see how much you are familiar with the subject you are about to pursue.
So relax a bit and go over some basic topics in data science. Learn more on Python, SQL, variables, data libraries etc. for better understanding. Try a mock interview once or twice. And if you ant any help with that, let me know.
