If the university you are admitted to accepts the Duolingo test and has issued you an I-20 form, then for visa application purposes, your English proficiency is considered adequate. The embassy does not specify which English proficiency tests it recognizes, as its focus is on whether the university has accepted you as a student and whether you meet the other visa conditions.
