I want to do masters of physical therapy in geriatrics or orthopedic or pediatrics. Please explain me the procedure & how much is the expense?

MPT Pediatrics is a postgraduate-level medical science degree that focuses on a specific form of therapy

used to treat and manage various illnesses and disorders.Candidates who have completed a Bachelor of

Physiotherapy (BPT) program or any other bachelor’s level programs in the field of health sciences can

apply for MPT Pediatrics provided they have scored a minimum of 50% marks.Candidates can appear for

various entrance exams like NEET-PG, CMC Vellore Exam, IPU CET, MAHE OET to get admission in top

MPT Pediatrics Colleges. The average salary of an MPT-qualified physiotherapist varies from INR 3.5 to

8 LPA.

MPT Orthopaedics, is a 2 years full-time postgraduate course.The eligibility criteria of the MPT

Orthopaedics is Graduation degree of Bachelors of physiotherapy with a minimum of 50 per cent marks

from the recognised institute and Internship of 6 Months duration.Admission criteria for admission in MPT

Orthopaedics are offered based on the merit marks obtained in the Bachelors of physiotherapy. Some

institutes also conduct entrance tests. The admission process varies across colleges. An average tuition

fee charged forMPT Orthopaedics ranges between INR 40,000- 2.1 lakhs for 2 years. 

Master of Physiotherapy (Geriatrics)- The course is of two years duration and provides hand-on

training and practical learning experience needed to become a physiotherapy expert. The mode of

admission is an Entrance Examination which is conducted either on any of State, university, and

national levels such as All India Post Graduate Physiotherapy Entrance Test, CET Entrance Exam

for Master’s Program, Guru Govind Indraprastha University Physiotherapy Entrance Exam.
