Situated in the town of Portsmouth, the University of Portsmouth is an open university. Having a history which goes lower back to 1908, the Park building was once installed as a neighbourhood university and public library. The college bought its college reputation in 1992 via the Further and Higher Education Act. Before that, it was once referred to as the Portsmouth Polytechnic.
