Can taking a break/gap between education leave a negative impact while getting into college abroad?

No, not at all. Taking a break or gap year does not leave a bad impact on your profile or your application to study abroad. The only condition is that you have a proper explanation for your break or gap year. 

What I mean by a proper explanation here is that you need to prove you were not wasting your time as that can show you are not motivated and serious enough for your studies and your career. If you were involved in a club, participating in any extracurricular, learning something new etc than that gap year won’t be considered waste and will definitely not affect your profile in any manner.
