No you don’t need the GMAT to apply to an MS in Computer Science. Most universities clearly state that they require the GRE for technical and STEM-based master’s programs like Computer Science. The GMAT is mainly designed for business-related degrees such as MBA, MIM, or MS in Business Analytics.
That said, a few interdisciplinary programs or tech-focused business schools might accept the GMAT—but it’s rare for pure CS degrees. To stay safe, it’s best to check the official admissions page of the university you're targeting. If you're serious about MS in CS, taking the GRE will give you the best chance.
