Can I apply in any round for IIM Executive MBA programs, or is Round 1 preferred?

You’re allowed to apply in any one round at IIMs, but there are a few reasons why applying early is often better:

• All three IIMs (A, B, and C) allow only one application per cycle, so pick your round carefully
• Round 1 and 2 give more time for international applicants to handle visa processes smoothly
• Round 3 isn’t less competitive, but fewer seats may remain by then depending on the earlier pool

Some working professionals prefer Round 1 to align with fiscal-year resignations or get employer approvals on time

There’s no disadvantage in applying later, but Round 1 usually gives more flexibility for planning, especially if you're juggling exams, notice periods, or finances. Keep an eye on official timelines so you don’t miss your best window.
