Eligibility Requirements for Sydney Masters in Management

A candidate must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission:

  • an Australian bachelor's degree or higher in a related field with a credit average (65%) or equivalent qualification, or
  • an Australian bachelor's degree or higher in a related field with less than a credit average (minimum 50%) or equivalent qualification, and successful performance on the GMAT (for reference, the class average score is 630) or another business school-approved admissions test.

Applicants must also fulfill the following criteria:

  • Complete a selection interview
  • Provide a statement of motivation
  • Provide a recent resume / CV
  • Meet the below CEMS MIM language requirements.

Australian nationals will no longer be subject to the CEMS language requirements as of 2023. (they will be admitted based on English as a mother tongue). These students will be expected to complete a second and third language course at the beginner/elementary level as part of the curriculum. Please be aware that you must pass the CEMS language requirement to graduate. It is an exit requirement.

International students: Requires fluency in at least two languages, with English being one of them. If English is not a student's mother tongue, they are not needed to take a language test unless they choose to. A student who speaks English as their first language must take language tests in their second language. Students will be expected to study a third language at the introductory or elementary level as part of the program. Please be aware that you must pass the CEMS language requirement to graduate. It is an exit requirement.

Equivalencies and entrance standards for degrees conferred outside of Australia are established based on the nation, institution, and degree.
