Queensland Technology Master of Information Science (Information Management) Program Description

To be competitive, all market sectors are adopting new digital and technology advancements (source: Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA)). Due to the widespread use of digital technology in business, there is an increasing need for knowledgeable IT experts in a variety of industries and positions.

Data science, business process management, process mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber security, augmented and virtual reality, business analytics, data visualization, and the Internet of Things are just a few examples of the fields that are still evolving quickly. The need for knowledge in these fields is expanding, as does business investment in them (source: Australia's Digital Pulse, ACS/Deloitte).

QUT has updated its postgraduate IT programs to reflect current industry trends. Three new majors are available in our Master of Information Technology program, and we've updated our existing majors to reflect the most recent developments in the IT sector.

With eight majors that range from those that relate IT to business domains (like Business Analysis) to those that are very technical, we offer one of the broadest selections of study specializations available for a postgraduate IT degree (e.g. Software Development).
