Will a 650+ GMAT strengthen my UCL MFin application if it’s optional?

I know UCL says GMAT/GRE are optional, but I studied at a lesser-known uni without much bootcamp or internship records. Would a GMAT of 650+ or GRE quant 162+ noticeably improve my chances?
