There are basically three intakes to get into universities in the UK: Spring Intake, Fall Intake and the Winter Intake.Â
Fall Intake begins from around late August or late September and receives the highest number of applicants.Â
Spring Intake is basically the one that concludes around May and has the second highest intake after the Fall intake. Students who missed a chance in the Fall intake apply in this intake to get an admit into their dream universities abroad asap without wasting another year or so.Â
Winter Intake is the least popular since it is in close proximity to the Spring intake. Very few universities even have a winter intake.
Talking about the UK, I would highly suggest going for the Fall intake which is the around September. The reason being:
Indian students complete their undergraduate or graduate degree by the month of May or June thus have the golden chances to crack the fall intake that starts around August and they also don’t have to wait until spring or winter intake which starts around January.
Those who have an internship or a job right after their graduation, they will be needing extra time to settle things down, and hence spring/winter intake is a smooth transition for them.
Spring students have the advantage of mentorship programs or special orientation programs, unlike the fall intake.
Also, there is no right or wrong time to apply and go for your studies abroad so you should start applying without wasting any time and not think about which intake to target.Â
