Hello Nilakhi, how are you?

So for studying in the USA or Canada, there isn’t one specific exam that you need to give. The exams that are accepted by a majority of universities in the USA and Canada are IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT and GRE. While IELTS and TOEFL are English proficiency tests, GMAT and GRE are the standard exams that test if you are academically ready to pursue a degree in abroad universities.

There are many universities that have waived off the GMAT/GRE score requirement in the current covid scenario but you must check out the university’s websites about the current status. Also, a very important point that you must remember is that each university has a specific score requirement for IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT and GRE. For IELTS, an overall band score of 7.0 and above is safe and for TOEFL, an overall score of 100/120 is something that you should aim for.

In the case of GRE, any score between 320 to 340 would help you get your desired university and for the GMAT it is suggested to get somewhere around 700-750. As I said, the score requirement is different for each course and university.

Why don’t you tell me about which course you wish to pursue and which universities are you targeting? I would then be able to find out the exact exam requirement for the same.
