If the goal is to intern with LVMH, Chanel, or any of the top French luxury brands, then location and school network matter more than ranking.

It helps if someone carves a luxury path through electives and networking. &bull; SDA Bocconi is great too &mdash; it leans more into Italian brands like Armani or Valentino, but a few students get into LVMH subsidiaries as well. &bull; POLIMI and EMLYON are decent, but less consistent for Chanel or top-tier placements.

Their MBA in Luxury Brand Management has long-standing partnerships with LVMH and Kering. Students regularly work on capstone projects with maisons under the LVMH umbrella  and sometimes these turn into internships or short-term contracts.
Being based near Paris also helps, ESSEC students often attend luxury panels, trade fairs, and brand events where they meet actual recruiters. A few students each year do land internships at brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton, or Guerlain. These are usually paid and may be optional or arranged alongside the final consulting project, depending on the track.
