Are you fixated on a European country? If you are then I will recommend you to the UK. No if and buts, the UK is the leading country in entire Europe for computer science and information systems. The universities, lifestyle, location, everything is of quality if you choose the UK for a computer science degree.

Have you ever wondered why rankings are placed into two combined subjects? For example, engineering & technology, computer scene and IT. It's because these subjects are  interlinked and highly interdependent. You know how much tech is involved in the engineering sector. Basically it would be impossible to operate engineering operations without tech services. Same way, computer science and information systems are like two hands of a body. You need both hands for best functionality.

The United Kingdom excels both in computer science and information systems. Being the center of the European market, it makes the UK an even better place. Rationally, any country that has the smooth functionality of big operations in computer science and information systems is suitable for computational courses. There is no debate that the universities in the UK are more than known. When it comes to purses, they are fully stacked.

The best universities in the UK align with the best universities for computer science in the country. Have a look at this -

  1. University of Oxford
  2. University of Cambridge
  3. Imperial College London
  4. University College London
  5. The University of Edinburgh

These are the top five universities from the UK. And surprisingly enough these are the top five universities for computer science and information systems there. About your post graduation option, the UK has the most tie-ups with foreign organizations. This includes universities, firms, companies, NGOs etc. This not only brings a big network but more exposure too; one of the reasons why UK degrees are more recognized on a global level.

Without a budget issue, I don’t see why no one would choose the UK for computer science study. In case you are seeking a research-based career where you want to spend your most time with your field, I would even put the UK before the USA. If you are still confused and have some doubts, feel free to ask.

In Europe, the choice of country for studying computer science largely depends on your academic interests, language skills, and career goals. However, broadly speaking, Germany and the United Kingdom are highly recommended.

Germany offers a combination of high-quality education, state-of-the-art research facilities, and significant cost advantages, particularly with public universities where tuition fees are typically waived for international students. German universities such as the Technical University of Munich and RWTH Aachen are renowned for their computer science programs.

On the other hand, the United Kingdom boasts prestigious universities like the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, where the curriculum is deeply integrated with the latest research and technological advancements. Studying in the UK provides a more diverse linguistic and cultural environment, which can be a crucial factor for personal development and networking.

Both countries offer distinct advantages, so your choice should be guided by specific preferences for language, cultural setting, and the academic environment. Additionally, consider the post-study opportunities available in each country, as they can vary significantly in terms of work rights and visa regulations.
