Top B-Schools such as ISB Hyderabad uses GMAT as a primary requirement, especially for programs aimed at working professionals or international applicants. Their latest class profile shows an average GMAT score of 710, and they accept both Indian and foreign applicants.
Schools like SPJIMR Mumbai and XLRI Jamshedpur also consider GMAT scores. SPJIMR accepts GMAT for its PGDM and Global Management Programme, while XLRI uses GMAT for the GMP (Global MBA). Both schools prefer candidates with at least 2–5 years of work experience.
IIMs such as IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta accept GMAT, but only for their one-year full-time executive programs (PGPX, EPGP, PGPEX). For Indian students applying to the regular two-year PGP programs, only CAT is accepted. These executive courses generally expect a GMAT score of 690+ and at least 4–5 years of experience.
Before applying, check the official websites to confirm the latest GMAT score window, eligibility, and program structure. Schools often update their score policies and deadlines each year.
