As a beginner, I assume you are a beginner right? Okay, so if you are not well familiar with the subject let me tell you some important information on it. The first thing you need to understand is to aim for a masters degree in data science. Having a strong qualification will be very helpful in the near future.
Data science is currently the most sound-after degree program abroad. It is for now the most relevant subject in modern industry. Basically, with growing business and digitalization, the need to analyze data and predict behaviour is much more important than ever. Professionals like business analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, cognitive algorithm development etc. are getting more recognition now.
I would like to suggest these courses for you to target as a beginner -
- MSc Data Science
- MSc Data Science & Machine Learning
- MSc Data Engineering
The reason why I suggest data science and machine learning courses is because they are the most standard degrees in data science. Through these, you can choose from a wide range of specializations later on. Because as a beginner you are not that aware of the industry. If you choose a course like data analytics, you may regret it later as it is a niche area. Consider data engineering if you are an engineering aspirant.
Courses like data analytics, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence are quite complex ones. These are only suggested for students that have a computer or analytics background. You should go for the above-mentioned courses. Also, no need to worry if you are a beginner. Because these master programs in no way required you to have a data science understanding.
In the past 5 years, data science has grown from 10-30% in different countries. It is estimated that the difference between these numbers is going to grow even more. Trusted sources like Glassdoor show that the number of data science jobs has a 70% rise in 2022 compared to the previous year 2021. A 70% growth rate is more than excellent. Other most booming industries remain at 12-25% growth rates while data science is getting ahead.
I would suggest you attend free seminars organized by universities abroad or try to read program brochures by different universities. This will give you an idea of the subject. Did I clear your doubts? If you want to know about a specific area in data science, you can definitely ask me. Let me know what curse you choose.
