For the academic year 2023, first-round dates for MBA admissions vary widely amongst institutions, but they typically start in September.

It would be best if you started your GMAT preparation as soon as possible to increase your chances of success because it could take up to 6 months to reach your target score and up to 3 months to finish your applications. In light of this, I'm pleased to provide some advice on how to move forward with your GMAT preparation.

Since you are just beginning your GMAT preparation, the first stage in the procedure is to complete a practice test to determine your starting score. However, familiarise yourself with the exam's format and structure before taking your practice test. You'll be prepared to start studying after you finish the practice test.

Creating a systematic, organised, and linear study plan is the best way to prepare for the GMAT. Because it enables you to learn and practice just one quantitative or verbal issue at a time until you have learned it entirely, a topical method is remarkably advised.

To demonstrate how to study using this topical approach, let's look at the topic of Number Properties. You will begin by checking Number Properties, which include even and odd numbers, positive and negative numbers, divisibility, remainders, unit digit patterns, least common multiple, most significant common factor, and so on. Once you have learned those topics, you should start answering practice questions. Select 100+ Number Properties questions and split them into sets of 15 questions.

The questions you missed should be thoroughly reviewed after each problem set. Review the answers to each erroneous question first. Return to your notes or study materials if you still don't know why you missed the question to fill in any knowledge gaps. Then go on to the following verbal or quantitative issue.

You must also attempt to keep your motivation and zeal throughout the GMAT preparation process. You must apply self-discipline to ensure you put in the required study hours because taking the GMAT involves a lot of time. There will be "off days" during the preparation process when you won't feel like studying, but you must persevere.

I know I have given you a lot of information, but if you have any more questions, please ask.
