Didn&rsquo;t have a math-heavy background , here&rsquo;s what worked for GMAT Quant prep:

Started with Kaplan&rsquo;s Math Workbook &mdash; beginner-friendly and covered each topic step by step
Watched Manhattan Prep Quant videos and paused after each sub-topic to solve 2&ndash;3 questions
Dedicated one week per topic: Arithmetic, Algebra, Word Problems, Data Sufficiency
Used flashcards to memorize formulas and number properties (squares, roots, prime rules)
Logged every error with a note on why it happened &mdash; misread, concept issue, or calculation
In the last month, used the GMAT Focus Official Practice Quant-only sections under strict time limits

Wasn&rsquo;t aiming to master advanced math,  just wanted to stay accurate and composed under pressure. That mindset helped.

Begin with Manhattan Prep&rsquo;s Foundations of Math, it covers basics like ratios, exponents, and word problems with simple explanations. Spend 2&ndash;3 weeks learning one concept at a time and solving untimed drills after each.
Around Week 4, shift to Target Test Prep. Their GMAT Quant course is organized by topic and includes checkpoints, quizzes, and detailed error analysis. Track wrong answers and review them after 3&ndash;4 days. That spaced repetition helps retain concepts.
In the last month, begin mixed-topic Quant sets under time pressure. Use GMAT Focus Official Practice sets for full-length Quant sections twice a week. Review those attempts thoroughly &mdash; especially logic gaps and calculation errors. Non-quant backgrounds do well if they prioritize accuracy over speed.
