Getting into one of the best universities in the US is a tremendous challenge. For MS and Ph.D. programs, most prestigious universities in the US and the UK require the GRE, GMAT, and IELTS or TOEFL.

Each school has its own unique set of specifications. For example, while some American and British colleges demand GRE scores above 330, others accept applicants with very low or no GRE scores. To learn how institutions admit overseas students, stop looking for the basic GRE cutoff requirements.

You are mistaken if you think the average GRE cutoff score for all American colleges and institutions. It is optional for each school to declare the minimum GRE score needed for admission. The same criteria apply to GMAT scores, academic performance, and other factors. In addition, minimum TOEFL scores are required for access to several universities.

An applicant can often gain admission to one of the top colleges in the US with a GRE score of 320 or higher overall and at least 161 in the quantitative part. Depending on the school you select, your GRE results will change. Again, it would differ depending on your chosen field within a specific institution or school.

English language ability is crucial for successful admission. Therefore, the students are suggested to work in this area for higher selection possibilities.

The typical TOEFL requirement is a 90. Even so, some prestigious universities only accept applications with a minimum GPA of 76, while others require 100 or above. As a result, it entirely depends on the institution you attend and the specific program you are applying for.
