The Imperial MIM interview includes a mix of video and written questions. You'll be asked four questions where you record your answers, and one written question. Before each question, you’ll get a few seconds to prepare, then a short time to give your answer.

The questions are designed to check how motivated you are and how well you fit with the program. You can expect questions like “Why do you want to join Imperial?” or “Tell us about a time you worked in a team or faced a challenge.” These help the school understand your goals, values, and how you think.

It’s also good to know that Imperial focuses a lot on values like respect, teamwork, honesty, and innovation. If you’ve done something in your past that shows these—whether at college, work, or in daily life—talk about it clearly and simply. Just be honest, stay calm, and let your personality come through. That’s what they really want to see.
