One common one: &ldquo;How would you explain your current industry experience to someone hiring in a different field?&rdquo; They&rsquo;re testing your ability to translate past work into future goals.
For finance-focused profiles, they may ask about recent financial news you&rsquo;ve followed &mdash; not technical, but opinion-based: &ldquo;Do you think interest rate hikes have made Germany less attractive for investment banking careers?&rdquo;
They notice when answers feel rehearsed. Candidates who&rsquo;ve done even one working student job or real-world project stand out because their examples are more grounded.
