Well the interviewers will mostly  focus on understanding your academic background, professional experience, and career goals. They might ask about your interest in the program's concentrations, such as Behavioral Finance or Sustainable Business, and how these align with your aspirations.

Additionally, expect questions that assess your ability to thrive in a rigorous, quantitative curriculum and contribute positively to the Cornell community. Reflecting on your experiences with teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership can help you prepare thoughtful responses

The questions will mostly be about you, your goals, and why this program fits you. They want to know how well you understand the program and what you plan to do after you graduate. So, expect questions like “Why Cornell?” or “What are your career goals?”

They may also ask you about your academic and work background. If you've done internships, group projects, or worked in any leadership roles—those experiences matter. The interview is also a way to check how well you can communicate, so just be honest and clear in your answers.

Cornell also values global awareness and teamwork, especially if you're applying to the CEMS track. So be ready to talk about any international exposure or how you’ve worked with people from different cultures.

In short, the interview is not to trick you. It’s just to see if you’re a good fit and if you’ll do well in the program. Be confident, be real, and show them you're serious about what you want to do.
