Interviewers at IIM Ahmedabad’s Executive MBA (PGPX) program usually want to understand how you think, lead, and take decisions in real-world situations. Most of the questions are based on your work experience, personal motivation, and how well you fit into their class of experienced professionals.

You’ll often be asked questions like “Why now?” or “What specific goals do you have after PGPX?” Your answers should show that you’ve thought deeply about your career and how this program aligns with your next step. They may also explore how you’ve handled challenges in the past expect questions about team conflict, business failures, or leadership dilemmas.

Faculty-led panels sometimes go deeper by asking about recent developments in your industry or global business issues. Their aim is not just to test your knowledge but to see how you reflect, process, and communicate ideas clearly and calmly.

You can find a few sample questions and themes on IIM-A’s official PGPX admissions page. Using those as a guide and practicing 2–3 strong stories from your work life will help you feel more confident and authentic in the interview room.
