The GMAT syllabus is actually pretty focused. There are three sections now in the updated format&mdash;Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. Each section checks different skills but nothing goes beyond high school-level math or logic.
Here&rsquo;s a quick look at the format:

Quant has basic arithmetic, algebra, and word problems&mdash;no geometry. Verbal includes just reading comprehension and critical reasoning (no sentence correction anymore). And Data Insights is a mix of charts, tables, multi-source reasoning, and basic stats.
If you&rsquo;re comfortable with logic-based questions and basic math, the GMAT syllabus won&rsquo;t feel overwhelming. The test is more about strategy and time management than just memorizing formulas.

The GMAT syllabus is split into three main sections, and each tests a specific skill set:
Quantitative Reasoning &ndash; This includes arithmetic, algebra, word problems, and data sufficiency. No geometry or advanced math, but you do need to be good at solving logic-based problems under time pressure.
Verbal Reasoning &ndash; Focuses only on Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. No grammar questions like the old version had (Sentence Correction is gone in the latest format).
Data Insights &ndash; This is new and really important. It tests how well you can read and compare data from charts, tables, and text. Think of it like a combo of Data Interpretation + basic reasoning.
What&rsquo;s nice is that all three sections are 45 minutes each, and the total test time is just 2 hours + 15 minutes including breaks and tutorial. So it&rsquo;s much shorter than before and more focused.
