There’s no strict eligibility requirement to appear for the GMAT — anyone can register and take the exam.

You just need to be 18 years or older. If you're between 13 and 17, you can still take the GMAT, but you’ll need written permission from a parent or guardian.

There’s no minimum educational qualification required by GMAC (the body that conducts the GMAT). That said, since the exam is used for business school admissions, most test takers already hold or are pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

You can take the GMAT up to five times in a year, but not more than eight times in total. And there must be a 16-day gap between each attempt.

So as long as you’re above 18 and willing to take the test seriously — you’re eligible. It’s that simple.
