The average GMAT score needed for SP Jain’s MBA programs is usually around 650–700. This applies to the PGDM program at SPJIMR, Mumbai as well as the Global MBA offered by SP Jain School of Global Management.

There’s no fixed cutoff, but most selected candidates fall in this range. If your score is slightly below, don’t worry  the school looks at your entire profile, including your work experience, academics, and personal achievements.

For the Global MBA program, a GMAT of around 650 is considered competitive but again, strong goals, leadership, and clarity in your application can make a big difference.

So if you're anywhere near that 650+ mark, and the rest of your profile is solid, you definitely have a chance.

The average GMAT score for applicants selected into the SPJIMR PGDM program is 650, based on recent class profiles published on SPJIMR's official website. While there is no strict cutoff, this range gives you a realistic benchmark to aim for if you're applying.

However, SPJIMR follows a profile-based selection process, especially in Round 1. This means that along with your GMAT, they also consider your academic history, work experience, leadership potential, and clarity of career goals. So even if your score is slightly below this range, you can still be a strong contender with a well-rounded profile.

So yes, aim for a GMAT near 700, but don’t let that number alone define your chances. A clear, focused profile matters just as much.

SP Jain’s recent PGDM class had GMAT scores of 650 as shared on their official website. While there’s no fixed minimum, a score in this range gives you a strong chance of getting shortlisted, especially in early rounds.

But SP Jain (SPJIMR) doesn’t only look at your GMAT. They follow a profile-based selection process, which means your academics, work experience, achievements, and career goals also matter a lot. A good profile can balance out a slightly lower score.

What they really want is a student who shows clarity, leadership potential, and maturity. Your essays and interviews give you the space to prove that. Many students with average GMAT scores but strong stories have been selected in past years.

So yes, aim for a score near 700 if you can  but even if you’re a bit below, you still have a chance. Just make sure your full profile tells a strong, honest story about you.
