Anyone exploring marketing at Stanford should know that the university does not offer a separate MSc in Marketing. Instead, students build marketing knowledge through the Stanford MBA or MSx Program, and you can expect strong career outcomes from both of these programmes.

Based on the official Stanford GSB employment report, the average salary for MBA graduates is $187,504, and the median is $185,000. Many graduates secure roles in top marketing, product, or brand management teams across major firms.

The MSx Program, designed for professionals with 8+ years of work experience, also leads to solid salary outcomes. Since MSx students have prior experience, their post-graduation roles often include higher-level marketing or leadership jobs, especially in tech or consulting.

So, while Stanford doesn’t offer an MSc only in marketing, you still get access to high-paying marketing roles through these programs. Choosing the MBA or MSx track depends on your experience level and career plans  both offer a strong mix of marketing knowledge and business leadership training.
