A MiM graduate's average salary in Germany varies and depends on which industry, location, and type of employer one finds himself or herself among. Generally, within the initial years of employment, the average salary of a MiM graduate is between €45,000 and €65,000. Necessarily, it will be higher in the consulting, finance, and technology industries due to immense demand.

Graduates from the best high-caliber schools, such as ESMT Berlin, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, and Mannheim Business School may begin from an extremely high end of the scale, where in some sectors, even starting salaries can go as high as €65,000 and above. Cities which are more expensive- Munich, Frankfurt, and Berlin- tend to be compensated at a higher level than the rest because it's also harder to live there and multinational companies are more concentrated.

Basic pay, bonuses, relocation packages or allowances are typical benefits to most graduates when working for large corporations, or consulting firms. In a few years, salaries increase quite sharply, usually above €80,000 if MiM graduates reach managerial levels
