There’s no fixed average GMAT score for BITSoM mentioned on their official site. That’s because they look at the full picture, not just a number. Still you should consider scoring around 690 because that is the score half of the BITSoM applicants sitting inside have scored.

What matters more is how strong your overall profile is — your work experience, goals, essays, and how clearly you can show your fit for the program.

GMAT Score Details
Median 690
Range 600 – 770

From what others have shared, students have made it with scores around 650–700, but there are also cases where scores were lower and the profile stood out in other ways. They’re looking for future leaders who are ready to grow, not just test-takers.

So don’t worry too much about hitting a certain number. Just focus on building a solid application that shows your strengths and career vision clearly. That’s what usually makes the real difference.

BITSoM does not have a fixed GMAT cutoff, but based on the official class profile, the median GMAT score is 690, and the overall range is 600 to 770. This means that while many admitted students scored around 690, others with lower scores have also made it in when backed by strong profiles.

BITSoM looks at your complete application, not just your test score. So even if your GMAT is on the lower side, strong work experience, clear goals, impactful essays, and a good fit with the program can still help you get in.

That said, if you're aiming to stay competitive, it’s smart to target a score around 690 or higher. BITSoM also accepts scores from the new GMAT Focus Edition, so plan your prep accordingly.

There’s no official average GMAT score mentioned on BITSoM’s website, and that’s because they don’t follow a strict cutoff. Still you should consider scoring around 690 because that is theri median GMAT score.Apart from GMAT they look for a well-rounded profile — someone who can add value to the class and is ready to grow as a leader.

So even if your GMAT score isn’t very high, don’t let that stop you. They consider your work experience, goals, recommendations, and essays as a whole. A strong profile with clear direction and motivation can still stand out, even without a high GMAT.

That said, many applicants with scores in the 600–770 range have been admitted in the past. But again, scores vary a lot because they don’t publish a benchmark. It really comes down to how well you present your overall story.
