Wharton’s average GMAT score for the MBA Class of 2026 is 732, but that was before the switch to the GMAT Focus Edition. The traditional GMAT was officially discontinued in February 2024. If you’re applying now, your score will fall on the new 205–805 scale, and Wharton will mostly consider your percentile ranking over raw scores.

They haven’t published an average score yet under the Focus format, but it’s expected that competitive applicants will still be in the 95th percentile or higher. If GMAT isn’t your strongest area, Wharton also accepts GRE scores — most successful applicants score around 163 in Verbal and 162 in Quant. The admissions team looks at the full picture, so a strong career track, solid academics, and clear goals still carry a lot of weight.
