The average GMAT score for HEC Paris MiM typically ranges between 650 and 710. But scoring below that range doesn’t automatically hurt your chances — because HEC uses a holistic evaluation approach.
They don’t just look at test scores. Strong academics, relevant internships, extracurriculars, leadership experience, and a clear career plan all matter just as much — sometimes more. Many applicants have been admitted with a GMAT in the 620–640 range by showcasing strong essays, recommendations, and personal achievements.
If your quant background is weak, a solid GMAT can help balance that. But if your academics are strong and your profile shows clear impact or direction, even a slightly below-average score won’t be a dealbreaker.
