The application process generally remains the same whether it is for the USA or any other abroad country. The main thing you need to focus on is that it is for an MSc degree, i.e. master's. Because every degree has its requirements and procedures. Data science masters are quite a popular take nowadays.

So the process is quite standard. First, you must arrange the eligibility requirements, and then you can apply for the MSc in Data Science in the USA. I will explain it step by step so it will be easier to grasp.

  1. arrange an undergraduate degree (from a recognized university)
  2. arrange all academic transcripts, certificates and documents
  3. attempt GRE/GMAT
  4. attempt a language proficiency test
  5. prepare your SOP, LORs and Essays
  6. apply at the official program page
  7. submit documents, answer all questions and submit
  8. wait for the university to respond (2-3 weeks)
  9. start your visa and scholarship process
  10. fly to the USA and start your program

As you see, you have to arrange the necessary documents, attempt a few tests, and then you can start applying for the MSc in data science program in the USA. Now it all may seem simple and sweet, but there are things you should know. First off, your GRE/GMAT score is very important. In situations, it can work as a tiebreaker during your admission. Plus, you may not be eligible for top schools if you do not score well. The English test score is just for a visa though you must get the minimum score.

The most important element of your profile is always the letter, SOP, LORs and Essays. These letters are so important that students must go from consultant to consultant to get the perfect notes. The universities want to know what your ambitions are, what are your goals, your professional behavior, your reasons for joining the program etc. These letters reflect just that. So make sure to practice these as soon as possible.

Apart from that, you are pretty much clear. The university you decide for your MSc in data science depends on your budget. Make no hurry choosing as there are financial aids like scholarships and education loans available to help students out. Let me know if you are applying for an MSc program in the USA. Maybe I can be of some help.
