In Canada, there are 3 Categories: SPP, Non-SPP and University. If you want to apply
under SPP or University Category in Canada after the 12th, you should have more than
50% overall with 50+ Marks in your Core Subjects. If you have more than 50% marks,
but in any Individual subject, your score is below 50, you have the option to apply under
the Non-SPP Category. Also, some Universities accept the profiles with a score below
50 in any main subject, but there are some conditions like your Band score should be
more than the required Band score, and your Percentages should be more than 55%
The minimum percentage required for studying in Canada is 65% and above for the
humanities stream in class XII, and 70 - 80% and above for Science/Commerce stream
in class XII will also be required. Foundations and Diploma programs are available for
students who have secured below 60%. In addition, the student should have completed
18 years of age before joining a degree program.
Those who have not scored a minimum of 70% but desire to apply for a bachelor's
degree can do a two-year Advanced Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3 and then move
on to the final years of the degree at a university where the college has a link.
