For international applicants, including Indian students, the annual tuition fee is around $$67,700 USD (₹51–52 lakhs),for the Data science bachelor and total annual cost (with living expenses) is around $85,000–90,000 USD (₹70–75 lakhs), as per Stanford’s official site but keep in mind Stanford University does not offer a standalone Bachelor’s in Data Science, but students can study it through the Computer Science major with a data science track.

When it comes t English proficiency, Stanford accepts TOEFL, not IELTS, for undergraduate admissions. A minimum TOEFL iBT score of 100 is expected for competitive applications. IELTS is generally accepted for graduate programs only. With 90% in both 10th and 12th, you have a strong academic record, but Stanford looks at more than marks — they want to see essays, extracurriculars, and personal growth.

The admission process includes: SAT or ACT scores (optional for 2025 intake), school transcripts, 3 short essays, recommendation letters (usually 2), and TOEFL scores. You must apply through the Common Application portal. The deadline is usually early January for regular decisions. Need-based financial aid is also available for international students.

So yes, you can apply with 90% marks and a good TOEFL score, but admissions are highly competitive. Make sure your overall profile like  projects, activities, and essays, show depth and originality.

The total fees for international students for the data science program at Stanford is around $90,000 per year, which includes tuition, housing, food, books, and personal expenses. Just tuition alone is approximately $67,700 per year, as per Stanford's undergraduate cost estimate but you should know that it offers a Data Science track through its Computer Science undergraduate program under the School of Engineering. This track lets you study core computer science while focusing on data, AI, and statistics.

For English language requirements, Stanford accepts TOEFL, not IELTS, for undergraduate applicants. A TOEFL iBT score of 100 or above is considered competitive. While IELTS is not officially listed, it's always better to confirm with the admissions office directly.

You’ll need to apply through the Common App platform, with your school marks, letters of recommendation, essays, and optional SAT scores. Also your 90% in 10th and 12th is a strong start, but Stanford also looks for leadership, personal projects, and deep interest in the subject beyond academics.
