First, you need to know how these two subjects are very much related. One of the major aspects of data science; machine learning is basically a branch of artificial intelligence. Plus many other topics in programming and statistics in data science uses artificial intelligence for efficient workflow. This means that you get flexibility when applying for a job in either subject if you have a data science or artificial intelligence degree.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is basically a disciple that promotes non-human interaction to get things done. In other works, with AI, industry professionals work on reducing manual labor as much as possible. AI uses scientific and computational methods to learn and adapt. So that the tasks and operations can be done uninterrupted by machines only. Some examples can be seen in your daily life as mobile assistants, microwave, music platforms and many more.

There are universities that offer AI courses in data science. A large number of students nowaday prefer pre specialized programs in data science so that they can work with the particular area more thoroughly. Some major examples are; AI, analytics, machine learning, visualization and Python. So if you wonder about the scope of AI and data science abroad, it’s very flexible at least.

Coming to other aspects like employment rate and earnings, the numbers will definitely surprise you. Did you know that the global AI market size was valued at $328.34 billion in 2021? Surprised enough? Furthermore that industry is expected to grow to almost $1,394.30 billion by 2029. The current rate it’s growing, you can assume easy access to good jobs in AI and hence, some data science areas.

Data sconce is currently #2 professions in the USA and 33 in the UK. For other major countries like Canada, Australia, Germany etc., the result are same ranging under top #5 professions. If you want to make a career in any field of data science, now is the time. USA companies are paying more than $150,000 annual salary to quality data science professionals. This figure is more than 1.15 crore annually in Indian currency.

Both artificial intelligence and data science are very prosperous subjects now. Top universities from all countries are offering courses under these subjects. If you have good qualifications and a budget to spare, I highly suggest doing a master course from a good university abroad. This will not only boost your employment options but you will have a more relevant degree. Let me know if you need any more information on this.
