Then comes your GMAT or GRE score&mdash;aiming for a score above 700 can really boost your chances, especially at top schools.
Work experience also plays a big role. Even if you&rsquo;ve worked for just 2&ndash;3 years, it should show that you&rsquo;ve handled real responsibilities, worked in teams, or solved problems. 
Outside of work, if you've done anything like volunteering, leading a group, or starting something on your own, that adds a lot of value.
