Chicago Booth doesn’t require a specific GMAT score to apply, but if you want to be competitive, you should aim for a score close to their recent average—around 728. Most admitted students score between 600 and 780, based on the latest data.

But a strong GMAT score alone won’t guarantee admission. Booth looks at your profile as a whole—career progress, leadership skills, academic record, and how clearly you present your goals. It’s not uncommon for someone with a score in the low 600s to get in if they have outstanding achievements in other areas.

In short, a high GMAT helps, but Booth values well-rounded candidates more than just high test scores.
