LBS interviews are personalized and often include both behavioral and goal-based questions. The interview is usually conducted by a London Business School alum and can last between 60 to 90 minutes. Many interviews also include a short case discussion, which you’re expected to solve and present during the interview.

You’ll be asked questions like: “Why do you want to join LBS?”, “What are your short-term and long-term goals?”, “Tell me about a leadership experience,” and “How do you handle failure or pressure?” These help the interviewer understand how you think, lead, and fit within the global, collaborative culture at LBS.

To prepare well, focus on your real experiences and structure your answers using the STAR method — Situation, Task, Action, Result. It’s also helpful to know LBS inside out — their electives, global exposure, clubs, and values. Keep your answers honest, clear, and easy to follow. That’s what makes a strong impression.
