Studying in a business school in India is quite different from staying abroad. The first thing you'd need to consider, of course, would be the exposure you'll get. Business schools abroad mostly offer more diversified classrooms wherein you have people from all walks of life. This naturally helps in constructing a global network and learning different business practices, something very crucial if you plan to have a global career. On the other side, Indian schools are more focused on local markets and industries, which might limit exposure but can be very helpful if you work from India.
Then of course comes the question of money. Business schools outside the country are relatively more expensive, touching even 50-60 lakhs, and add to that living costs. Indian schools, though competitive, charge a lot less, in comparison -15-25 lakhs for fees. If you had a kind of financial crunch or needed a return on investment that was relatively faster, this could be a significant point of a differentiator.
Another challenge is in the teaching methods. Schools abroad will be experiential, with case studies, and class discussions, whereas Indian business schools will be more theoretical. So, therefore, your learning style might also impact your experience, too. But on the whole, the pros and cons weigh equally; it all depends on what you want to get out of the program and, say, where you see yourself in a few years.
