Hi. If you are searching for universities to study accounting masters, I recommend targeting the USA or UK specifically. First, the universities in these countries are the very best for accounting and finance. Second, the economies of the USA and UK are the most developed. Third, the accounting degree you will get from the USA and UK will be most recognized, so better job opportunities in most places.
Here are my recommendations if you like USA more -
- Harvard University
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
- Stanford University
All three of these universities are equally good. Whether you choose Harvard, Sanford or MIT, you are sure to get the best accounting education. Not just in the USA but these universities are known everywhere. The accounting and finance studies in these three universities are top-notch filled with modern electives. Your specializations from here will  grant the most job possibilities and career choices.
Besides, if we look at the USA economy, the accounting and finance sectors are best established there. All the major firms and companies have headquarters in the USA. The operation and functions of the global market is carried out in the USA. The country is also the biggest importer and exporter of goods, this requires a big accounting operation to track. There is nothing better you can expect from any other country.
In case you prefer UK over USA, I have these options for you-
- LSE (The London School of Economics and Political Science)
- University of Oxford
The UK universities generally have a 10-12 months of master program in accounting. Choosing a university like LSE and Oxford for your accounting masters, comes with some consideration. In case you want a career in the European market and want to act on it fast, I say the UK is the best choice for you. The average pay of accounting graduates in the UK ranges from £40,000 to £50,000. This fits around 40-50 lakhs in Indian currency.
The UK is a place for research-based studies. Their master programs are generally fast paced ones and they offer jobs that are very much involved with core skills in the field. It is a good country for accounting professionals. Plus, a masters in accounting from the UK can progress careers in one of the best and largest sectors in the world; the London financial sector.
I believe I included enough university options so you can get an idea. If you have your mind set on some type of universities, let me know. Maybe we can work on your profile and select the universities accordingly. It will be much easier and efficient.
