Several top MIM programs in Germany accept low or moderate GMAT scores, especially if your academic profile and motivation are strong.

Here are some of the best options:

  • HHL Leipzig – Accepts applicants with GMAT scores around 600–620
  • WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management – Competitive with scores above 620, but waivers possible
  • Frankfurt School of Finance & Management – Scores around 630 are often accepted if the profile is strong
  • ESMT Berlin – No strict GMAT cut-off; applicants with scores around 620 have been admitted
  • University of Mannheim – Generally prefers 650+, but students with lower scores and strong academics have succeeded

If your GMAT is on the lower side but your grades, internships, or extracurriculars are strong, you still have a solid shot.

You can definitely apply to good MiM programs in Germany even with a low GMAT score. Many top schools focus more on your grades, work experience, and career goals instead of just test scores.

For example, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management does not require a GMAT for their MiM program. ESMT Berlin also does not ask for a GMAT; they care more about your practical experience and leadership potential. Even the University of Cologne offers an MSc in International Management without needing a GMAT.

So, if you have strong academics, some good internships or projects, and a clear plan for your career, you still have a great chance. They really want to see your full profile, not just a number on a test.
