The best and most reliable book or resource is the GMAT Official Guide (OG) by GMAC. It’s made by the actual test makers, and has real questions from past exams. So if you only pick one book, start with this.
For Quant, go with Manhattan Prep’s GMAT Advanced Quant if you’re aiming for 700+. It covers tougher questions and helps build accuracy. If your basics are still weak, Kaplan GMAT Math Workbook can be more beginner-friendly.
For Verbal, try Powerscore Critical Reasoning Bible and Manhattan SC (Sentence Correction). These two are widely used and explain concepts in a simple way.
And for practice, don’t ignore mocks. Books can teach you topics, but taking GMATPrep free mocks from mba.com gives you the real feel.
Stick to 2–3 books max. Don’t collect too many — quality over quantity always works better for GMAT.
