should i go with mim-essay for tepper msba?

my profile is gre 317, 7.5 cgpa in btech (ece), and 2 years work in a data analyst role. i don’t have much coding beyond sql/python basics. applied to ucla and nyu last year on my own but got rejected. wondering if a consultant can really make my profile look stronger this time or if it’s just throwing more money at the problem.

i applied to tepper msba last year with mimessay. my gre was 320 and i had 2 years of data analyst work but wasnt sure if it was enough. what helped was how they pushed me to explain my projects in terms of impact not just tools i used. the mock interview felt tougher than the real one, but that turned out useful. got the admit in the end so for me going with them made sense.

your profile is actually solid for tepper but rejections from ucla and nyu show it might not just be about scores. msba schools usually want to see how your work connects to analytics and your future goals not only gre or coding. a consultant can help frame that better and also build a balanced school list with both dream schools and safer ones. its not a must, plenty of people do get in on their own  but if you dont want to risk another round of rejects, working with mimessay could be worth considering.
