mim-essay vs jamboree for mfin apps — anyone tried both?

i actually tried jamboree first for my mfin apps coz a friend was already going there for gmat prep. . it was decent for general stuff but when it came to essays they didnt go too deep. most of the edits were surface level, later i switched to mimessay. the feedback there was more focused on story and why i wanted mfin, which took me a while to get right. in the end it worked out and i managed to get an admit, so the switch made sense for me.

between the two, i felt jamboree was more about test prep and less about the actual application side. mimessay spent more time on essays and my personal goals, which can be a bit draining but helpful if you are serious about mfin. i wouldnt say one is clearly better&hellip; jamboree makes sense if you&rsquo;re already there for test prep, but for apps alone mimessay seemed stronger. depends what kind of help you want.

jamboree is mainly known for test prep. they do help with applications, but from what i have seen it is more on the surface level. mimessay usually gets mentioned more for essays, lors and building a school list. if you are already at jamboree for gmat/gre, it might be convenient to stick with them. but if the main focus is mfin applications, mimessay tends to be stronger.
