Yes, there are scholarships available on the basis of language proficiency tests. One of the most common scholarships that you can avail on the basis of your IELTS score is British Council IELTS Scholarship. You must secure a minimum 6.0 score in the IELTS exam to be eligible for this scholarship.
Also, different scholarships cater to different courses and you need to check which scholarship caters to the course that you are interested to pursue. So tell me more about the course you wish to pursue and I shall help you with the relevant information.

Yes, many scholarships are available to students who’ve taken English proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL. A lot of universities require these tests as part of the admission process for international students, and scholarships are often tied to your performance on them. Some schools offer specific awards to students who excel in these tests. So, doing well could increase your chances of getting financial aid.

Beyond general scholarships, some universities and even external organizations provide funding specifically to students who meet a minimum English proficiency score. For example, certain countries or institutions might have agreements with language testing bodies to provide scholarships for students who score highly. It’s a good idea to check each school’s scholarship page to see what’s offered… especially if you have a strong IELTS or TOEFL score.

Furthermore, some scholarships could depend on a dual condition to study a combination of academic background, leadership skills, and of course, your proficiency in the English language. Therefore, doing well on the test and scoring well on your academic profile can be that ticket to extra funding. Do apply for scholarships; most will have deadlines that vary… Don't miss opportunities because of timing!
