It actually depends. I think that KIT is better than RWTH because of the obvious reasons. But that doesn’t have to be true in every scenario. Like there are many courses that KIT offers better than RWTH and vice-versa. But yeah, if you are looking for a general answer overall, KIT is better.

About those obvious reasons. I said KIT is better overall because it is ranked higher than RWTH, has more courses available plus it is partnered with big companies worldwide. These are the obvious reasons, but the one I see most fitting is the university type. Both of these universities are technical ones. However, the study process and teaching method at KIT is much more technical than RWTH. Students from Germany themselves confirm this in their reviews.

Germany being a tech advanced country, KIT gains an upper hand. We all know  how much Germany is involved with automotive and tech related sectors. A technical university ther ha yo be much better than a less technical one. This is also why the biggest two universities in Germany are technical universities in Munich and Berlin (TUM and TUB).

If you can mention what kind of course you are targeting there, I can give you a sure answer. Because like I mentioned, it can be different in different scenarios. No university is  set to be the best for everything. Let me know if I can help you in any way possible.
