is it better to apply for msba on my own or go through a consultant? worried about wasting money if it doesn’t add value.?

if you&rsquo;re confident with your essays and school list, you can try on your own. but msba apps are competitive and schools like purdue, ucla want to see a clear story beyond scores. thats where a consultant can add value  guiding how to present your profile. it does cost extra, so it really depends if you think the risk of another reject is worth saving that money.

Consultants arent a must for msba  plenty of people get admits by themselves. but they do help avoid common mistakes like choosing schools that dont match your profile, missing small details in apps, or weak lors. i have seen friends manage fine solo and others who got admits with a consultant&rsquo;s help. so its not about better or worse  it&rsquo;s more about how sure you feel in handling the process without outside guidance.

when i first applied on my own i messed up my school choices. i was too ambitious and didnt keep any backups, so ended up with all rejects. for the second round i applied with the help of mimessay, they made me a balanced list that had 2 of my dream schools and a few safer options. finally got into mcgill msba. so for me, it made sense, but if you are confident about essays and picking schools smartly, you can still do it alone.
