No, you don't need to submit GMAT scores for most Master's in Data Science programs. For example, Northwestern University's Master of Science in Machine Learning and Data Science program does not require either GRE or GMAT scores for admission; they are entirely optional. Similarly, NYU's Master of Science in Data Science program does not accept GMAT scores at all; the GRE is optional. At the University of Chicago, the Master's in Applied Data Science program does not require the GRE or GMAT, though applicants can submit their scores if they choose. ​

So, if you're planning to apply to these programs, you can focus on strengthening other parts of your application, such as your academic background, relevant coursework, and practical experience in areas like mathematics, statistics, and computer science. However, if you believe your GRE or GMAT scores can enhance your application, you have the option to include them.​
