A 7.5 CGPA is generally considered to be a very good grade point average, and it may be high enough to qualify you for admission to some of the best universities abroad. However, it's important to note that a high GPA is just one of many factors that universities consider when evaluating applicants.Â
Other factors, such as standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation, also play a significant role in the admissions process. Additionally, different universities have different standards for what constitutes a "good" GPA, and some may have higher standards than others. To be considered for top universities, it is better to have a high GPA along with other good achievements.
That being said, generally speaking, universities with lower acceptance rates tend to have higher academic standards and therefore may be more selective in their admissions process. Some of the top-ranked universities in the world may be less likely to accept an applicant with a 7.5 CGPA, while other universities may be more open to considering such an applicant.
It's important to research the specific universities and programs that you're interested in applying to and to understand their admissions requirements and how your qualifications compare to those of other applicants. Additionally, it is better to look for universities that offer scholarships for international students.

A CGPA of 7.5 is pretty competitive but with regards to the specific universities and programs you are looking to pursue, most of the renowned universities would be keen on seeing some exceptional academic record, and therefore, although a CGPA of 7.5 is pretty good overall, it is also important to factor in a few more things to enhance your prospect.
Universities mainly evaluate applicants holistically. So, they will also take into consideration your letters of recommendation, personal statement, and relevant experiences be it in the form of internships or conducting research projects. If you have outstanding letters of recommendation and a good enough narrative about what you have experienced as an academic/ career individual, your application can stand out even if your CGPA falls at the lower end of the spectrum of some top institutions.
Additionally, the CGPA requirement varies with every program. Engineering or business programs are the most competitive among others. So it will be very helpful if you find the specific requirements of the program you want to enter. You might find that some universities value diverse experiences and potential over numerical scores.
If needed, put standardized tests like the GRE/GMAT in your resume. Score well in such tests to add value to your applications. Having a note or insight from an alumnus or current student of your wanted universities will most definitely help. Indeed, as much as it is sound to have a 7.5 CGPA, proving the rest of the credentials is what gets one admitted to top universities.
It's a pretty decent CGPA by 7.5 points and shall get into some of the best universities in the world if complemented with a decent overall profile. Of course, top-tier universities would prefer anything above this, but many institutions, especially in countries like the USA, Canada, and Australia, take a more holistic approach to admissions.
A decent letter of recommendation with a good SOP, good experience through internships or projects, and a good CGPA can only be one part of the puzzle. Even a good score in GRE/GMAT can help make it balance out. So, while 7.5 might not be the highest, you can be a pretty good candidate for many excellent universities if you focus on other aspects of your application.
